Do we owe our friends more than Fair Weather?

Let me begin by showing you this, and then my response.

Perhaps this may be true of the closest of friendships, but it simply does not apply to one’s general social circles.

I sincerely do not believe that modern friendships are designed to handle such burdens, and as such, it is a lonely, but necessary, sacrifice for those who are facing troubles their peers simply would not understand. I know I was, probably still am, in such a position.

All the same, I have often gone to support people in my situation, so the rules need not apply to me.

Maybe others feel the same way- even so, I have yet to meet people who can truly handle what I have faced regularly since I was a child. Nay, better to wear a mask that bears passing resemblance, than to show my true face!

Unless you have proven yourself, in which case such instances are also exempt. Like Master Tyler!
