As you know, depsite having done hard training, mostly in unusual and kung-fu Montage-inspired ways, I have never needed to train seriously in my whole life. The caveat is that I do have periods of unfitness where I am coasting on my superb athleticism and internal kung fu.
The situation is different now: in addition to Olympic level testing, I have mandatory PT and dietary guidelines, in addition to the kung fu I do in my own time. In some fields, my lack of hard training shows eg during pure stamina like the Beep Test, where I am barely raking in Level 9 (for now). In other ways, my own training makes even professional level athletes look sloppy, as my burst speed, power generation, and energy Efficency easily eclipse the best in the country. I suppose you could argue that I am briefly the most powerful in the country, albeit only sustainable for short periods of time.
When I return, I invite you all to train with me, and I will gradually introduce you to the level of physical training that I will have become accustomed to. Sounds expiring?
