So, I found, via YouTube recaps, a delightful gaming manhwa named ‘Archmage Streamer’.

Let’s go into an intro and discuss how this series has a pace that keeps the dopamine high, and the freshness higher: our MC literally levels up his skills and switches armour cycles so regularly that it’s almost like a fashion promotion. Of course, that is only possible because he has a Haxx class with a special skill he gained via a traffic accident.

Truck-kun missed him, but he got electrocuted into a new destiny instead. The accident erased his access to his old account, forcing him to make a new one. Now, our MC is lovable because he streams to support his family, which really resonates with me, as some of you may be aware. His brother is in a wheelchair (but don’t worry he can get better with money!), and his niece is so precious despite their living on the brink of poverty- honesty, I wanna buy her all the fried chicken and give her a cute school backpack filled with art supplies; despite their circumstances, they stay positive, and have a very healthy family dynamic.

After the accident, our MC gains ‘The Serpent’s Eyes” which basically allows him to see hidden code in the game, and this allows him to accelerate his new character to ungodly levels, to the point where he can play ‘solo’, albeit with multiple summons that keep getting ridiculously OP as the story progresses.
We love the interplay between his smart but clueless self unwittingly ticking-off the Top Guilds, and causing real world Machiavellian political manoeuvrings due to the amount of money and attention the Game attracts in real life. His moments with family are heart-warming, and we see a potential romance being ever so slightly teased, and as such doesn’t detract from the genre of gaming leveling. The rate of growth and the skills he accumulates is just cool, as it is easy to lose track of everything due to how flashy our MC’d archmage becomes with almost every chapter or so.
I have seen this story in many online recommendation, but have finally tried it myself to discover that the cool aid was all it was hyped up to be.

See, isn’t he just adorkable???!!?$
But more than anything, this ongoing series is something that speaks to me as a motivational story of how life can be wonderfully rewarding if you play your cards right, especially with a LOT of lucky breaks. Kinda makes me wanna go into gaming myself, that’s how much of an impact it had on me, but of course that’s unlikely- as Master Tyler has said many times, I am simply not a gamer.

But there’s still time to change that, maybe… ๐
