Yuusha Party wo Tsuihosareta Ore daga, Ore kara Sudattekureta you de Ureshii. ……nanode Dai Seijo, Omae ni Ottekorarete wa Komaru no daga? Or in English: “After I was banished from the Hero’s Party the Saintess revealed her true feelings for me” … or something like that? I don’t speak Japanese [wery vell]!

I have been recapping a lot lately, and just like Angel with the Golden Aura, I felt like this unfinished series is worthy of The Solospher’s Scrutiny (not sure if that will catch on, but if so, trademark!).

We have a typical set up:

*MC is removed from party.

*He was hard carrying them the entire time.

*His party faces the consequences of their disastrous decision. (Seriously, as a support guy in RL, how the hell do you not appreciate your auxiliary team?? Not to mention that this guy HARD carries his team, as we find out).

*Someone on his old team was always secretly crushing on him.

*MC does better for himself after leaving old team. Gains harem members steadily as plot progresses.

*There is a Machiavellian scheme to destroy world.

On the surface, this is nothing new. However, I will immediately note that this series was unusually narrative-detailed, and fleshed out the characterisations as well as the premise with more care and attention than most other works in the same genre. Secondly, our MC is wholesome! Not to mention dense when it comes to girls and their feelings, which is always fun for harems; having had a few in my time, I can say that it’s just not something that immediately comes to mind for a young guy, and I’m glad that none of mine turned out too badly, seeing as how people’s feelings seem to take volatile twists that are rarely shown in the rom-coms… Let’s just say that I am glad to suffer from a romantic disorder that is so shocking and bizarre, the public must never find out…

Anyway, our MC is a natural nurturer, and despite his wholesomeness, isn’t naive, so he’s not insufferable. We see how he’s low key broken, as his hax power is simply “he has all the powers” for utility and buffer support, including one that stops people from understanding what his real power is: for this, we can be somewhat sympathetic for the Hero’s party and their blunder in discarding him, but they are all quite immature so we don’t dwell on it. While not a lot has happened so far, if we are purely talking about the great narrative, there is a great amount of characterisation and fun moments which would make it an excellent new shounen for 2025(?)

Here’s some more panels without context:

I suppose that, like the MC is these stories, I am also someone who has been expelled from hero parties, depsite being a strong support player. While I wouldn’t go into detail about them, especially as they have very little impact on my various grand schemes and world domination projects, I suppose that it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to say that it’s not always pleasant, but if you are a truly worthy support member, you will find a new team or maintain old connections, which I am proud to say that I have, time and time again. Let good beget good, and good riddance with the rest!
