I started chatting with a lot of Latinas, and have found Spanish to be uncannily easy to intuit.
Maybe it’s the fact that as a Philosopher, Polyglot, and Linguistic Etymologist, I have a lot of mutual overlap with that particular language, but the fact that I did Italian lessons as a ragazza is both a blessing and a curse, as I keep defaulting to Italiano and am still comprehensible in Espanol!

The guys have been teaching me how to say lewd phrases to girls: the only one I remembered is usted es linda, because I learned it years ago from a Dolly Magazine (as a teenage boy I used to read teenage girl’s magazines for the gossip section, and the quizzes).
On the topic of etymology, girls I date have called me an Idiot, but I take it as a compliment!
